Beautiful Things Happen When a Woman Trusts GOD by Sheila Walsh
Most Christian women believe that if they can just do everything "right" they will be okay, and that if something bad happens in their lives it's because they haven't been "good" enough. They're ashamed of their short-comings, and try to hide behind the mask of "the good Christian". Sheila Walsh was one of those women, but as she began to fully trust God her eyes were opened. Suddenly she was able to see the beauty that comes from such trust. In her book, I believe Sheila relates to each of us on different levels. What I found most interesting is how easily we take for granted the awesome power of our Creator. Sheila's book has helped me to see the areas of my life that I try to control myself, and, now that I've given those things over to God, I'm experiencing the beauty she speaks of. I would highly recommend this book to any woman.

The Word of Promise New Testament: Audio NKJV Bible
The Word of Promise is an audio Bible (NKJV) unlike any I've encountered. With a vast amount of vocal talent, as well as beautiful music, it makes the New Testament come alive! It comes in a beautiful zip case, so there's no need to worry about misplacing disks. Perfect for long drives, or even short ones. As a bonus the set includes a "Behind the Scenes" DVD, which was extremely interesting, and Michael W. Smith's new song "The Promise". All in all, I thoroughly enjoy this audio set, and am hopeful that they will record an Old Testament to match.

Love & Respect By Dr. Emerson Eggerichs
Although I am not involved in a romantic relationship, I do have a few men in my life (father, brothers, friends), and I do hope to eventually marry. So, I thought this would be a good book... Unfortunately, I found it hard to get through. It was difficult to want to read because it didn't seem like Dr. Eggerichs had done enough research. I think most people would agree with what he's trying to say about loving and respecting one another, and I believe that we all need to be reminded of that sometimes. However, I just don't feel like he went about it the right way, and that he should have put more research into the book. That said, I'd give it a 3 out of 5.
